Committees

The combined Pastoral Council collaboratively guides the three parish communities in staying true to the mission of the church of Jesus Christ. The Pastoral Council directs the parishes through spiritual leadership, engaging in pastoral planning and by making policies in accordance with the parish mission and vision. The Pastoral Council is composed of selected parishioners through a discernment process.

Each parish has its own Finance Council. The Finance Council, along with the Stewardship Committee, monitors the financial condition of the parish. The committee reviews the Parish Annual Budget and works with the staff in preparation of the financial reports submitted to the parishioners and the Archdiocese.

The Combined Human Concerns Committee initiates and promotes ways to address current social issues with programs such as Mission Outreach and Pro-Life efforts. Parishioners are encouraged to address the social welfare of the parish and community groups.

Each parish has their own Buldings and Grounds Committee. The Buildings and Grounds Committee is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of the parish facilities. There are regular meetings and the committee advises the parish maintenance department to ensure that the buildings and grounds are kept in proper condition and good repair.

There is only one collaborative Christian Formation Committee. The Christian Formation Committee organizes the educational opportunities and programs for RCIA, Grade School, and High School, but also the committee is focused on creating opportunities for everyone to continually learn more about our faith. For example this includes small groups, missions, and various talks throughout the year.

The Parish Life Committee plans opportunities for people of all ages to come together to create a more lively parish. This is accomplished through planning parties, potlucks, cards and other games.

Each parish has their own Stewardship Committee. The Stewardship Committee assists the pastor in developing Stewardship as a way of life in the parish, an attitude of the mind and heart that is expressed in action, emphasizing that all people, things, and experiences are gifts from God.

The Prayer and Worship Committee works together to collaboratively plan out the liturgical schedule. The Committee is made up of the chairpersons of the ministries indicated below, along with other concerned parishioners who gather as needed to discuss, evaluate, and form our community’s worship experience. This committee is concerned with fostering worship that will glorify God and help to bring the assembly into His mysteries through sign, symbol and song.
